Pre-School Education

For the children aged three years to school age, we work with the Foundation Stage Guidelines to ensure each and every child in the Pre School is learning through their play.

The overarching aim of the EYFS is to help young children achieve the every child matters outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.

Each area of learning has a set of related early learning goals and the curriculum guidance for the foundation stage is intended to help practitioners plan to meet the diverse needs of all children.

The programme for the children, materials used and the staff employed, reflects a variety of cultures and religions and all activities are very carefully planned to encourage all areas of the children's development, as outlined in the curriculum, promoting learning through play.
